Accrington Stanley Football Club is fully open for spectators, visitors and guests with a brand new, family friendly £2.5million hospitality and function facility. Following on from the success of each year’s Shirt Giveaway, 2022 will see it return to the Wham Stadium on Thursday 29th September 2022.

Every Year Three class from 39 local schools have been invited to the Wham Stadium, with transportation arranged for them.  Children will have the opportunity to visit the ground, meet team players and staff and have a full professional class picture taken on the day. All pupils visiting the ground on Thursday 29th September will also receive various other goodies donated by local businesses and club sponsors, as well as their free Accrington Stanley football shirt.

With the support of schools across Hyndburn, this programme will have given away just over 7,200 Accrington Stanley shirts and goodie bags; it is designed to encourage youngsters in the borough to take an interest in sport, get involved in sport, and feel connected to their local professional League One team.

Andy Holt, Chair of Accrington Stanley FC, said: “Our annual school shirt giveaway continues to prove successful, and we are enjoying the support of an increased number of families in the Studio sponsored family stand. This initiative is proving to have dividends in increasing pride in our club, and our town.

We are very keen that every child has the official shirt of their home town professional football club, this is the best thing the club does in my opinion and with continued support we will help to raise aspirations in the borough for the next generation.”

Collette King, HR Director of Studio Retail Ltd, added: “We’re happy to support such a great initiative that really impresses the children every year we run it. It’s wonderful to see them enjoy it so much!
