A vibrant new addition celebrating the very best of Hyndburn’s food and drink scene has been announced for the 2026 #AmazingAccrington Food & Drink Festival, taking place on Saturday 6th June from 10 am to 4 pm.
The brand-new ‘Taste of Hyndburn Tent’ will shine a spotlight on businesses from across the borough that specialise in food and drink, creating a dedicated space for visitors to discover and support local producers. Leading the line-up is Great Harwood’s renowned Finch Bakery, bringing its much-loved creations to the heart of the festival.
Designed to champion the richness and diversity of Hyndburn’s independent food and drink sector, the tent will feature an array of local talent, including Moorside Craft Gin. The unique gin has been produced to accompany a brand-new thriller book series inspired by Moorside House in Altham, Accrington, adding an extra layer of local storytelling to the experience.
There are also five FREE places available within the ‘Taste of Hyndburn Tent’, offering an exciting opportunity for additional food and drink businesses in the area to get involved.
Interested businesses are invited to apply by emailing editor@amazingaccrington.co.uk by 5 pm on Saturday, 2nd May.
AmazingAccrington are also inviting local cafes, restaurants and pubs to communicate their special offers and opening times for the day, with the likes of Frankie’s Café having already confirmed their involvement with a Café René takeover and a French-themed menu.
Outlets wanting to promote their opening times and special offers can email them to editor@amazingaccrington.co.uk
The 2026 #AmazingAccrington Food & Drink Festival is sponsored by Hyndburn Borough Council and the Mercure Dunkenhalgh Hotel & Spa and promises a packed day of flavour and entertainment.
Alongside the Hyndburn tent, visitors can enjoy a wide range of food and drink stalls from across Lancashire, a continental market offering cuisine from around the world, live cooking demonstrations, a chilli challenge and much more.
Rachel Finch and Lauren Sinclair of Finch Bakery said, “It’s fantastic to be part of the new Taste of Hyndburn Tent. We have so many incredible businesses across the borough, and it’s really exciting to see them all being celebrated together in one place.”
Kelly-Ann Groves from Moguhl, creator of Moorside Craft Gin, says: “We’re delighted to be part of the Accrington Food & Drink Festival, it’s exactly the kind of event that celebrates real craftsmanship. Moorside Gin draws from ancient aquifer water that, rumour has it, has been filtering through the earth since time began. There’s something special about tasting a spirit with that kind of story. Come and experience it for yourself. We’ll have exclusive festival pricing on bottles for those who want to take a piece of that history home.”
Murray Dawson, Chair of #AmazingAccrington and Managing Director of Scott Dawson Advertising, said: “This is a really exciting development for this year’s festival. We really want to promote the fantastic local businesses we have here in Hyndburn, and the Hyndburn tent is a brilliant way to do just that. It will give visitors a real taste of what our borough has to offer.”
The introduction of the Hyndburn tent marks another step forward for the ever-growing festival, reinforcing its commitment to supporting local enterprise while delivering a memorable day out for thousands of visitors.
