Accrington based iMEP, specialists in “International Music Event Production”, have donated thousands of pounds worth of star auction prizes to raise money for the Mayor’s chosen charities at this year’s Mayor’s Charity Ball.

The generous donations include: 2x hospitality tickets to see Girls Aloud at the AO Arena on 24th May 2024; 2x hospitality tickets to see comedian Paul Smith at the AO Arena on 13th July 2024; 2x tickets for a VIP box at Old Trafford to watch Manchester United vs Burnley on 27th April 2024; and 8x tickets for an incredible private box experience in the Sir Alex Ferguson Stand as Manchester United take on Everton on 9th March 2024, with a full hospitality package included.

Those prizes and others will be up for grabs at the Mayor’s Charity Ball, which is being held on Friday 23rd February inside Accrington Stanley’s world class hospitality venue at the Wham Stadium, an event which is already a sell out.

Money raised at the event will go to the Mayor Cllr Terry Hurn’s chosen charities including: Milly’s Smiles, a local group that works to support children newly diagnosed with a cancer-related illness; Jeffrey’s Battle with Battens Disease, a crowdfunded effort to help a little boy keep going despite his illness; and Accrington Stanley Women, who serve as an admirable source of female empowerment for all.

Alongside their generous auction prize donations, iMEP have been named as a gold sponsor for the event, which will also feature a three-course dinner, entertainment and live music.

Eddy O’Brien, CEO of iMEP, said: “As a company we are extremely passionate about giving back to the local community and the Mayor’s Ball presents a wonderful opportunity to raise money for some incredible charities.

“Milly’s Smiles, Jeffrey’s Battle with Battens Disease and Accrington Stanley Women all do fantastic work in the borough and it is good that local companies including ourselves can come together to try and raise funds to support their work.

“As Chair of the Hyndburn Food Pantry I understand how important these fundraising events are and I am looking forward to a great night, where hopefully lots and lots of money is raised for three very worthy causes.”

Offering everything from lighting, sound, staging and special effects, to fully managed music and theatre event production, iMEP regularly work with stars around the world including Ed Sheeran, John Bishop, Chris Brown and many more.

The Mayor’s Charity Ball takes place on Friday 23rd February at Accrington Stanley’s Wham Stadium.
