Amazing Accrington will host the 2021 Christmas Light Switch On in Accrington Town Centre on Thursday 25thNovember, proudly sponsored by amazing local businesses North Lancs Training Group (NLTG), Sundown Solutions and Studio Retail Ltd.
Working in conjunction with Accrington Town Hall, Accrington Market and Hyndburn Borough Council, plans are currently being formulated for a spectacular family friendly start to Christmas, including a music stage, live acts, entertainment and fairground rides.
The official Light Switch On will be initiated by Accrington-born television star and actress Julie Hesmondhalgh (schedule permitting).
Amazing Accrington are also looking to engage with all local Primary Schools ahead of the return of the Christmas Light Switch On, as they look to build on the success of recent Accrington events such as the Accrington Stanley Football Club big shirt giveaway at the Wham Stadium and the Futures event in Accrington Town Hall.
The event will also provide the opportunity to celebrate local independent retailers, while charities have the chance to run a free stall outside Accrington Market Hall and should contact the Market Hall to make their application.
