HML Recycling, the Hyndburn-based metal recycling company, pride themselves on supporting and giving back to their local community, giving a percentage of their profits to local worthy causes throughout the year.

As one of the main stand sponsors of Accrington Stanley, their latest generous donation is to the Official Accrington Stanley Supporter’s Trust, or OASST, who themselves work hard in the community to improve both local and away fan’s experience at the Club, and people’s lives away from the ground. Their largest project last year was to complete the Remembrance Garden at the Wham Stadium.

Following a socially distanced meeting at the Wham Stadium to hand over the cheque, Stuart Rogan, Managing Director of HML Recycling, said “We hope this cheque goes some way into making the fan’s experience better, in what’s been a very challenging year for clubs, and fans in particular.”

Peter Leatham, Chair of OASST, added, “This is a super gesture which will help us to continue to develop our facilities here at the Wham Stadium, and it’s lovely when a local company supports its local community!”

HML have been established for over 50 years and are industry leaders, and category experts. They excel on duty of care and environmental legislation, and are licensed brokers. They have a history of turning scrap metal into charitable donations, and last year they committed to raising money for the Accrington Stanley Supporter’s Club, RSPCA and Maundy Relief in addition to supporting the OASST.
