Hyndburn Borough Council has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Accrington Stanley Football Club’s community events, sponsoring a number of their initiatives throughout 2025.
The Council, a long-standing supporter of the club’s annual Funfair & Fireworks event at the Wham Stadium, has once again been confirmed as sponsor for this year’s spectacular show.
Taking place for the eighth time this year on Sunday 2nd November, the event is one of the most popular in the local calendar, regularly selling out with thrilling rides, live music, delicious food and a showstopping fireworks display.
The evening of family fun will run from 5pm until 10pm, with the dazzling fireworks display set to light up the sky at approximately 7:30pm.
The club’s Fanzone will be buzzing with atmosphere, alongside the Clayton End kiosks serving hot and cold drinks, beers and wine, plus stadium favourites including burgers, hotdogs and pie & peas.
Tickets are on sale now online and from the club shop – priced at £4 for adults, £2 for under-16s, and £10 for a family ticket (two adults and two under-16s). Advance purchase is strongly advised to avoid disappointment.

Ahead of the November celebration, the Council is also backing the Accrington Stanley Big Shirt Giveaway, taking place this month. Their support will help towards transporting pupils from 39 schools across the borough to and from the Wham Stadium, ensuring children can take part in one of the area’s most exciting community traditions.
In addition, Hyndburn Borough Council has jointly sponsored the new Jnr Redz Fanzone at the club with DHCS (Domiciliary Home Care Services Ltd), creating a safe and engaging space for families to enjoy on matchdays.
