The Official Accrington Stanley Supporters Trust (OASST) has proudly donated over £2,500 to local charities, following the success of their December Draw.
The donations continue the fantastic work being done by the OASST, who in 2025 donated £9,050 to local good causes.
A cheque for £1,280 was presented by OASST board member Paul Baldwin to the team at Derian House, a hospice providing respite and end-of-life care to more than 400 babies, children and young people across the North West. Derian House offers its services free of charge to families, but costs £6 million to run annually, with less than 30% of funding provided by the government.
The donation from the OASST can help support families in a variety of ways, including funding a family’s week-long stay at the fully accessible Derian on Holiday Lodge, a month of activities for children and their siblings, or even providing care from a hospice nurse for a day.
OASST also donated £1,280 to Jeffreys Journey, supporting Jeffrey, a young boy battling Batten Disease, and his family. The family was invited to Accrington Stanley’s home game against MK Dons on Saturday 17th January, where they were presented with their cheque by Paul and gifted a new Accrington Stanley shirt, hat and scarf by the OASST.
The donation will help the family create special memories together amid the challenges of frequent hospital appointments.
The December Draw raised a total of £3,207. Tickets were sold at £1 each, with prizes including hospitality tickets, a Tiger Lounge bottomless brunch voucher, and more.
The draw is in addition to Club1968, the OASST’s monthly lottery, which raises funds to improve the supporter experience at the Wham Stadium while giving fans the chance to win cash prizes.
Each month, one lucky fan wins the £1,000 Jackpot prize, with seven other fans winning prizes ranging from £50 to £500. Entry costs just £10 per month.
Peter Leatham, Chair of the OASST, said: “Supporting organisations like Derian House and Jeffreys Journey is very important to us. These charities make a real difference to families across the region, and we are delighted that our December Draw can contribute to their incredible work.
“We would like to thank everyone who took part in the draw, your support truly makes this possible.”
