Accrington Stanley delivered a memorable Good Friday for hundreds of young supporters by handing out more than 300 Easter eggs ahead of their 2-0 victory over Crewe Alexandra.

The club’s Easter egg giveaway, delivered in partnership with Iceland Foods, The Food Warehouse and Scott Dawson Advertising, brought smiles to children from both sets of fans, receiving a free treat as they arrived for the match.

Adding to the festive atmosphere, a special appearance from the Easter Bunny delighted families throughout the Wham Stadium. The much-loved character helped distribute eggs, posed for photos and created a buzz across the Fanzone, stands, Coley’s and the 1968 Lounge.

Young fans also had the opportunity to capture the moment with Easter-themed selfies using a dedicated selfie frame, with a full gallery of the day shared on Accrington Stanley’s official Facebook page.

Accrington Stanley CEO Warren Eastham said: “It was fantastic to see so many children enjoying their Easter eggs and experiencing that extra bit of magic on matchday. Seeing their smiles around the stadium really made it a special occasion for everyone involved.”

A spokesperson for Iceland Foods & The Food Warehouse said: “We were delighted to be involved in the Easter egg giveaway for the first time. It was a wonderful way to give back to the community and be part of such a positive, family-focused event.”

Scott Dawson Advertising Managing Director, Murray Dawson said: “It was a really positive day all round, with lots of excitement from the fans and a great result on the pitch to go with it. We’re proud to support initiatives like this that bring people together and create memories.”

The initiative highlighted Accrington Stanley’s continued commitment to engaging with families and creating a welcoming, community-driven matchday experience.
