The Hyndburn Jobs Fair saw over 1,500 visitors, for a variety of roles, attend the event in Accrington Town Hall on Friday 28th June.

The fair was opened by Graham Jones MP, Miles Parkinson Leader of HBC, Camilla Ainsworth (BBC Apprentice) and Sponsors: Matt Jones from Studio and Lindsay Hurst from Accrington and Rossendale College.

Straight away the ballroom was buzzing with providers and businesses showcasing what they have to offer the talent of Hydburn.

MD of Mylkplus Camilla Ainsworth, Finalist on BBC Apprentice and special guest at the event said:

‘I am so pleased to be here, It’s really important to come to events like this and make people aware of opportunities available to them. I’m a local girl and it shows good things can happen up north, you don’t have to move to London to gain success, it can happen on your doorstep.”

Gold Sponsors, Studio.co.uk had almost 200 people apply for job roles during the event and many more apply via their website after gaining more information. Accrington and Rossendale College also sponsored the event alongside Coach House, Hyndburn Borough Council and Hyndburn Leisure Trust.
