Maintaining a smart, welcoming outside view is key to attracting customers and encouraging them to shop locally in Hyndburn. There’s really nothing you can’t buy from local suppliers in #AmazingAccrington, and it’s not just the town centre but our many high streets too.

To create nice looking, welcoming properties, Scott Dawson Advertising have set up a programme to offer #AmazingAccrington businesses one free shop front signage per month, just to give them the best look and the best chance of attracting customers.

Three have been installed already:

Gowers Surplus & Collectables

Situated on Warner Street in Accrington town centre, Gowers sells everything from vintage and surplus military clothing to collectable equipment.

Trevor’s Barber Shop

Located on Water Street in the town centre, Trevor has over 30 years of experience of barbering in Accrington.

George’s Greengrocer’s

In Clayton le Moors, George is staying open during lockdown for both call ins and delivery.

George said, “I’m really happy with my sign, it’s been brilliant for me. These are challenging times but we are staying open during lockdown, I’m also doing deliveries in case people can’t get out.”

3 have been completed out of 12 – we need more people to put signs up for, and it’s completely free of charge! You can nominate your business by giving Scott Dawson Advertising a call, or getting in touch on our #AmazingAccrington social media.

Let’s give our high streets a boost by shopping locally. The money spent stays in Hyndburn and will secure our future. Lots of local shops have stayed open and really need everyone’s support.
