Great Harwood Rovers Football Club has proudly revealed a brand-new club logo that, for the first time in its history, features both men’s and women’s football – a respectful step towards equality, inclusion, and community representation.
The refreshed crest brings together the club’s growing male and female squads under one identity, signalling a long-term commitment to supporting football for all at the grassroots level. The new design features both a male and female football figure, side by side, reflecting the club’s ethos of unity, growth and equal opportunity for everyone in the game.
Nigel Sutton, Chair, Great Harwood Rovers FC said, “This new logo marks a proud moment in our club’s history — for the first time, men’s and women’s football stand side by side in our badge. We want as many people as possible to enjoy our facilities!”
The badge launch comes at a time of growing demand for inclusive, accessible football opportunities in the local area. The club has seen a sharp increase in participation across all age groups and genders.
Zoe Bamber, Girl’s Team Manager, said: “It’s brilliant to see both men’s and women’s football in the same badge, it really shows respect and recognition for the women’s game.”
Great Harwood Rovers FC has also partnered with local stakeholders in pursuit of a new 3G pitch to help meet the needs of the wider community, ensuring year-round access to quality facilities for players of all ages and abilities.
Cllr Josh Blayne Allen, Mayor of Hyndburn Borough Council, commented, “Hyndburn Borough Council support Great Harwood Rovers in their ambitions to have a new 3G pitch to support the local demand, and this logo shows their commitment to inclusiveness. It’s a step in the right direction, and I applaud them!”
