#AmazingAccrington has received a generous festive donation of more than 350 mince pies from Iceland & The Food Warehouse, following recognition of the organisation’s outstanding work in the community throughout 2025.

The Iceland marketing team reached out to #AmazingAccrington after the hugely successful #AmazingAccrington Christmas Lights Switch On in November, an event that attracted an impressive 15,000 visitors and featured headline performers East 17.

Iceland & The Food Warehouse praised the continued efforts of #AmazingAccrington, who also deliver landmark events, including the Accrington Food & Drink Festival and the annual #AmazingAccrington Soapbox Challenge.

#AmazingAccrington will now distribute them to local organisations such as Maundy Relief and Clayton Amateur Boxing Club, spreading festive cheer to groups that support residents across Hyndburn.

Murray Dawson, Chair of #AmazingAccrington, said: “It is lovely that they reached out to us and we are grateful to Iceland & The Food Warehouse for this generous donation. It means a great deal to us and to the local organisations we will be delivering them to as a special Christmas treat. Their kindness will help bring some extra festive spirit to our community.”

A spokesperson from Iceland said, “We heard about the amazing work that #AmazingAccrington does in the community and wanted to contribute something special this Christmas. Donating mince pies felt like a perfect way to help spread some joy and reward the fantastic initiatives they lead throughout the year.
