Scott Dawson Advertising has donated selection boxes to Carers Link Lancashire, bringing a touch of Christmas cheer to young carers across East Lancashire.

The selection boxes have been part of a larger campaign managed by Scott Dawson Advertising whereby businesses have sponsored over 2,500 selection boxes this year. The Carers Link selection boxes will be distributed to children and teenagers registered with Carers Link Lancashire who provide vital care for their parents and siblings.

Young carers take on a wide range of responsibilities, including shopping, preparing meals, looking after siblings, providing emotional support, administering medication and keeping their family member’s company.

Scott Dawson Advertising, a full-service advertising and marketing agency based in Burnley, made the donation at Carers Link Lancashire in Accrington.

Managing Director of Scott Dawson Advertising, Murray Dawson, said: “The work young carers do every day is truly incredible. We were keen to support them at Christmas time and hope these selection boxes bring a smile to their faces during the festive season.”

Carole Moulton, Young Carers Development Worker at Carers Link Lancashire, said: “We would like to thank Murray and the entire Scott Dawson Advertising team for this generous donation. The selection boxes will be very popular with our young carers throughout the festive season.”

Carers Link Lancashire is an independent registered charity dedicated to supporting unpaid carers across East Lancashire. The organisation provides practical and emotional support to children as young as six who care for a loved one.
