Transforming our Town – Accrington through the years

 Exhibition Preview Thursday 22nd November

 An exhibition celebrating the new Town Square development in Accrington and Blackburn Road is set to be unveiled- and everyone is invited.

The new Town Square, which will officially open on Saturday 10th November, has been the talk of the town in 2018, the development has provided an opportunity to reflect on the town’s rich heritage- with an exhibition focussing on the exciting transformation and future of Accrington.

Cllr Clare Cleary said:

“The exhibition will showcase the past, present and future of Accrington. The town is something to be proud of and I hope as many people as possible come and support us at the exhibition preview evening.”

“Not only will the exhibition hold a wealth of information about the heritage of Accrington, there will be interactive aspects for families to enjoy, information about the current developments and it will showcase the people of Accrington past and present.

We have worked closely with a huge amount of people to make this exhibition possible and that really shows in the amount of information being exhibited. Our aim is to provide an experience that leaves people coming away with pride in the local community and a desire to support everything Accrington has to offer.”
