Affinity Supporting People, a Lancashire based care service owned by National Care Group, have received an ‘Outstanding’ rating in their latest CQC inspection.

The report was extremely positive and highlighted the excellent person-centred approach to care provided.

A special mention was given to how Affinity Supporting People was well led by a committed and skilled management team, who led by example and were well trained and supported.

Leah Whelan, Registered Manager for Affinity Supporting People, has played a major part in leading the service throughout her time as manager, and was delighted with the rating;

“Being rated Outstanding by CQC really reflects the fantastic person-centred support that we provide at Affinity Supporting People. Our management and staff teams are dedicated to the people they support and continually go above and beyond to ensure that people are able to achieve their dreams.”

What makes this achievement even more special is how Affinity Supporting People join an elite club of care providers who have an ‘Outstanding’ rating, with only 7% in the North West and 9% across England.

The report also praised the staff for how they developed a good relationship with the people they support and with their families, making it a truly collaborative approach to care where ideas can be shared and taken on.
