Accrington Stanley have teamed up with Scott Dawson Advertising and Iceland & The Food Warehouse to spread some Easter cheer, with hundreds of free chocolate eggs set to be given away to young supporters at the club’s home match against Crewe Alexandra.

The popular annual giveaway will take place on Good Friday (3rd April), with 250 Easter eggs set to be distributed inside the Wham Stadium on a first-come, first-served basis. The initiative is open to both Accrington Stanley and Crewe Alexandra supporters aged under 12.

In addition to the giveaway, families attending the match can enjoy a fun, festive atmosphere, with plenty of opportunities to capture the moment in a specially designed Easter selfie frame, with the pictures to be posted by the club as a gallery.

Young fans are being encouraged to arrive early to avoid missing out, with kick-off at 3 pm. The eggs will be handed out around the Wham Stadium, including in the stands and in Coley’s, on a first-come, first-served basis, while stocks last.

Warren Eastham, CEO at Accrington Stanley, said: “We love being part of the local community and initiatives like this are a fantastic way to give something back. It’s always brilliant to see the smiles on the children’s faces when they receive their Easter eggs.

A big thank you to Scott Dawson Advertising and Iceland & The Food Warehouse for supporting this event and helping us make it such a special day.”

Murray Dawson, Managing Director of Scott Dawson Advertising, said: “We have been involved with the Easter giveaway for over ten years now from a logistics and marketing perspective, so it’s something that means a lot to us. We’re incredibly proud to now be sponsoring the initiative. Make sure you get down early to grab your eggs before they’re gone!”

A spokesperson from Iceland & The Food Warehouse said: “We’re absolutely delighted to be part of this fantastic initiative. Supporting events like this is what being part of the local community is all about, and it’s great to play a role in creating such a memorable experience for young fans. Hopefully, it adds a little extra excitement to what is already a special day at the Wham Stadium.”

Accrington Stanley’s match against Crewe Alexandra kicks off at 3 pm on Friday, 3rd April at the Wham Stadium.
